Synopsis

Seven years after he is separated from his pregnant wife at sea, an Iraqi

teacher finally makes it to the UK, discovering he was presumed dead all along. As Ilya's pursues a relationship with the son he'd never met, his presence casts a shadow over Hana's peaceful family life in South Wales.

Directed by Hany Abu-Assad - is a Palestinian film maker, twice nominated for Academy Awards in 2006 for Paradise Now and in 2013 for the drama Omar. Nominated for more than 50 international awards, he has won 21 prizes including Golden Globe, Cannes Special Jury Prize.
